Prior to this calling, Angela earned a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Maryland and then spent many years working as a full-time homemaker and mother. During this time, she worked as a self-employed writer/editor, producing educational and promotional materials for a variety of clients, primarily in the nonprofit sector.

Angela has been married to her husband John for 45 years. They are the proud parents of six children and 22 grandchildren.
